Alejandro Munoz on Why Pioneer Hi-Bred supports The Farm Journal Legacy Project
Since its founding in 1926, Pioneer Hi-Bred has focused on bringing the best products and services to its customers and their communities.
Pioneer’s support for the Legacy Project is a continuation of that effort.
Over 80 percent of our customers who are active farmers today want to pass on their operations to the next generation. Pioneer’s support for the Legacy Project will help in those transitions and we are proud to be part of this effort.
Through Farm Journal Media, we will help to highlight opportunities, provide structure and give growers resources to help them succeed in their succession planning.
Just as Pioneer is dedicated to the success of its customers – through the "right product, right acre" strategy – we are also dedicated to the multi-generational success for growers and production agriculture. It is absolutely critical that our customers have good succession planning for American agriculture to succeed and prosper.
Farm Journal’s Andy Weber shares vision for The Farm Journal Legacy Project
The need for succession education and tools cannot be overstated in its importance to individual farm families of this country and to the long-term viability of the U.S. agricultural system as a whole. There is nothing more core to sustainability in agriculture than the ability to provide succession to the next generation.
That’s why in May 2008, FARM JOURNAL introduced the Farm Journal Legacy Project—a concerted effort to address the succession planning needs of America’s farm families. Utilizing all 13 media properties of our 133-year-old flagship magazine, the Legacy Project has been providing succession planning information intended to cultivate multigenerational success in the agricultural community.
With this multimillion-dollar contribution from Pioneer Hi-Bred International, a DuPont Business, Farm Journal Media is expanding upon its editorial and kicking off the single largest education initiative of its kind in agriculture today.
Farm Journal applauds Pioneer Hi-Bred for joining this groundbreaking effort and on behalf of American farmers, we extend our gratitude to Pioneer organization for their long-term commitment to America’s farmers and its support of The Farm Journal Legacy Project.
